About this Event
These are many assumptions about how race works in higher education, but are they true? This talk will address content from my book, Race on Campus: Debunking Myths with Data (Harvard Education Press, 2018), which addresses key misunderstandings of how race works in college admissions and campus life. I will highlight critical research on cognitive bias to unpack the origins of race-related myths in higher education, and critique the persistent spread of misinformation around race in higher education.
This talk will be moderated by Noah Giansiracusa, Assistant Professor, Mathematical Sciences, Bentley University
