About this Event

The theme for our meeting is "Reforming the Business of Pharmaceutical Innovation." This year, we are taking advantage of the virtual environment by holding five workshops during three days from March 16-18. The topics for these workshops are:

  • Assessing the value created by pharmaceutical innovation; led by Dr. Matthew Jackson on March 16th from 9:00 am-10:30 am
  • After the Business Roundtable Proclamation; moving from shareholder primacy to benefiting all stakeholders; led by Dr. Fred Ledley & Oner Tulum on March 16th from 10:30 am-12:00 pm
  • What is reasonable drug pricing and how can it be achieved?; led by Dr. Ekaterina Galkina Cleary on March 17th from 9:00 am-10:30 am
  • Modeling the impact of drug pricing policy on pipeline of new drug approvals; led by Dr. Gregory Vaughan & Sean Dickson on March 17th from 10:30 am-12:00 pm
  • Beyond Bayh Dole - policy reforms to maximize the return of public value from federally funded science; led by Dr. Fred Ledley on March 18th from 9:00 am-10:30am

Before each workshop, we will circulate a short briefing note, which will highlight our research interest and pose questions for the participants. There will be are 3-4 discussants in each workshop to present their perspectives on these questions, and help us frame the questions, how these questions might be answered, and their potential implications for both industry practice and public policy. There will also be an array of researchers, collaborators, colleagues, practitioners, policy makers to participate in one or more of these workshops and add their voices to what we expect will be lively and informative discussions.

You are welcome to join as many of our workshops as you'd like. We hope to see you there!
