The Center for Integration of Science and Industry's strategy in achieving our mission of "advancing the translation of scientific discoveries to create public value" involves our broadly interdisciplinary research that is aimed at achieving synergies between the advance of biomedical science, business, and policy. Put simply: our work has shown that the public sector invests hundreds of billions of dollars in the basic and applied science that enables biopharmaceutical innovation; the goal is to advance policies and practices that maximize the return of public value in the form of improved health outcomes, good jobs, and economic growth.
Our goal for this 3-day meeting is to sharpen the focus of our research by identifying important and impactful questions, innovative ideas, and incisive analytical approaches. To do this, we have organized six workshops on specific topics related to our mission. Each will be led by a member of our research team who is most involved in addressing those specific questions. We greatly appreciate your participation in these workshops, and look forward to hearing all of your ideas.
