Ready to change the world? Apply for the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship, a full scholarship to study abroad with a cohort of student leaders from around the country.
The Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship was founded to empower students of color with a transformative experience abroad, much like Frederick Douglass was inspired by his travels. The award covers the full cost of travel, housing, program field trips, and participation in a four-week summer study abroad course (3 credits) taught by CIEE.
This opportunity is offered by a student exchange organization we partner with, CIEE. As a next step, join us for an informational meeting and application workshop on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 during the activity period in the Student Center. You can also start your application online. The deadline to apply is February 14, 2022. Additionally, even if you’re not selected for the Fellowship, all eligible applicants receive a $1,500 grant that may be used for a CIEE Summer 2022, Fall 2022, or Spring 2023 program.
We hope you join us to learn more and create a solid application. Students who attend the workshop will have the chance to get their headshot taken for free! (You will need it for the application.) You are also welcome to meet with an advisor to discuss more by scheduling an appointment online.
