To cope with stress in their daily lives, the people of Thailand rely on Buddhist teachings. By showing compassion to others-feeding the monks, caring for the elderly, feeding fish in a pond, living in the temple-they create positive karma that can improve their own wellbeing. They also believe that meditation can calm their minds and produce inner peace. This presentation will discuss Thai stress-coping strategies, focusing on meditation. An experienced meditation teacher will conduct a guided meditation session, using the techniques of Middle Way meditation, a non-religious method suitable for all levels of meditation experience. The presentation will conclude with a Q & A about meditation or anything Thai. There may also be some Thai surprises!
