Please join the History Department, the Spiritual Life Center, Bentley Hillel, and AEPi for a commemoration of the "Kristallnacht" Pogrom of 1938 on Tuesday, 11/12 at 2:00 PM in Koumantzelis Auditorium. The “Kristallnacht” Pogrom of 1938 was the beginning of the persecution and systematic murder of six million Jews in Europe under the Nazi regime. Come learn about antisemitism, fascism, Nazi Germany and its shadow reaching into the present.
The event will include a brief history of antisemitism and the pogrom from Bentley Alum and former Professor Astrid Zajdband, a reading of firsthand accounts of "Kristallnacht," and a witness testimony from child survivor Rosemarie Merino (Berlin).
