About this Event
In mid-century America, unions and business coexisted—if not always peacefully—and both workers and employers enjoyed steady profits and rising wages. Yet in the decades since, unions have seen their power erode: in the private sector, they represent less than 6% of workers. This panel will explore what this shift means for companies and their employees. What role should unions play in the modern American economy? And how should we balance the pursuit of profits with the well-being of workers?
Speakers: Arun Ivatury (Advisor, Campaign Consultant) & Dylan Gottieb (Assistant Professor, History, Bentley University)
